Oven temperature conversion chart
Recipes round Celsius to the nearest 10 degrees, so 350°F is written as 180°C even though the exact figure is 177°C. Ovens swing by 10–15 degrees around the set point anyway, so the rounded number is the one to use.

Converting for a fan (convection) oven
A fan blows hot air over the food, which strips away the cooler layer of air that normally hugs its surface, so food cooks faster at the same setting. The usual rule is to lower the temperature by 25°F (about 20°C), or keep the temperature and shorten the time by about a quarter. UK and Australian recipes often list a separate “fan” figure for exactly this reason.
The formula
°C = (°F − 32) × 5 ÷ 9, and °F = °C × 9 ÷ 5 + 32. A quick mental version for oven temperatures: halve the Fahrenheit number and subtract about 10 to get Celsius (350 → 175 − 10 ≈ 165, a little low but close enough to pick the right line of the chart).
Is your oven running true?
Put an oven thermometer on the middle shelf, set the oven to 350°F and wait 20 minutes after the preheat beep. If it reads 25°F or more off, adjust your dial to compensate or recalibrate if your oven allows it. Many ovens also run hotter at the back and the top.
