What Data Stays Local
Your browser stores the following information locally on your device:
- Calculator history (turkey cooking times, ingredient conversions, etc.)
- Favorite ingredients and substitutions
- Recent searches and calculations
- User preferences (unit settings, favorites)
Your Control
- You own your data: All data is stored locally in your browser's IndexedDB
- Easy deletion: Clear your browser's site data to delete all CookHelper data
- No accounts: No registration, login, or user accounts required
- Export capability: You can export your history at any time
Third-Party Services
Analytics
We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. This service collects anonymized usage statistics, does not use cookies, and does not track you across other websites.
Advertising

USDA Cooking Temperature Data
Our safe cooking temperature guidelines come from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service. These are public domain information updated regularly for accuracy.
